What treatment is available for an ankle effusion?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Fred Birnbaum
42 years experience in Podiatry
Arthrocentesis: Fluid can be removed via a syringe and then sent for lab analysis. If your foot surgery was relatively recent, that may be the cause. Physical therapy may resolve it as well.
