Think Positive: Viability is normally defined as 24 weeks gestation. However, survival chances depend on the institution where you will be delivering (hopefully a Level 3 NICU); the availability of experienced neonatologists, appropriate equipment, etc. Additionally, remember that babies born at such young ages are at risk of having many problems even if they do survive. Hopefully that baby will wait.
