Nerve injury: Sounds like a nerve injury either from a disc in you back pushing on the nerve or some other process effecting the nerve. Have your physician check it for you

Lateral femoral...: cutaneous nerve syndrome, also known as meralgia paresthetica. This can cause burning, tingling or numbness in the outer portion of the thigh. Have you been lifting weights? Squats or Deadlifting? anything that increases pressure in the groin can compress the nerve and cause this problem. The treatment is pretty simple. You could also have other issues with the spinal nerves. Time to see your MD.
