A doctor has provided 1 answer

About GERD: Gastroesophgeal Reflux Disease is an ailment in which stomach contents rise up into esophagus or throat causing irritation. Pressure on stomach (bending over) or lying down (from gravity) make it worse. Avoidance of alcohol, caffeine, fats, peppermint, chocolate helps. Pain or difficulty swallowing, black/tarry BM, symptoms not responding to OTC meds, weight loss, inability to eat = see doc ASAP.
