Perfectly normal: The area around the tooth may be inflamed from the injection and the procedure. Have you taken any anti-inflammatory pain meds? They should help. You may want to give your dentist a call... not sure if you had an infection before the root canal was started.

Very common: Your tooth may continue to feel slightly painful for some time after your root canal treatment has been completed. However, if you have severe pain or pressure that lasts more than a few days, contact your dentist ASAP. Take care.

Call your dentist: While what you feel may be within normal limits and nothing to worry about, it is always best to call your own dentist who knows exactly the condition of the tooth, the nerve and what you should or should not expect to feel. He\she will be able to advise you.

Get RTC finished: Call your dentist to ascertain what was completed and when your next visit is. Were antibiotics needed? It is not a bad idea to take over the counter or prescription strength Motrin, which is an anti-inflammatory. Check with your dentist first and get the root canal and rest of treatment completed ASAP to avoid unnecessary complications.

Root canal Rx: You've just had a surgical procedure. Healing will take time. Best to call your Dentist to report symptoms. As your Dentist is the person most familiar with your case, he/she will have the most knowledgeable answer.
