Cardiologist said i might have a hole in my heart further tests are needed. should i keep taking beta blockers for my fast heart rate in the meantime?

YES.: If your cardiologist knows you're taking a beta blocker for your fast heart rate, continue it as directed. A rapid heart rate could cause further complications from the suspected hole in your heart. If for some reason your beta blocker needs to be discontinued, it should be gradually tapered under the guidance of your cardiologist.
