Strong med: Fentanyl is a very potent opiate pain med and I wouldn't advise using it for a procedure unless you are already on it, and familiar with dosage and have significant pain. If you have left over meds from prior surgery, taking it again could kill you as you no longer have the same tolerance. This is how opiate abusers accidentally overdose after a period of abstinence.

There would be: No reason to use fentanyl unless you are having pain, benzodiazepines are for sedation
