Yes if...: You are susceptible e.g. family history in parents of bipolar disorder. This phenomenon is called kindling e.g. Zoloft (sertraline) and others can thus kindle mood swings. Varies by individual at what age and so can be at any age. Clinically, in general we have seen patients as young as 3 and as old as 18 in child adolescent psychiatry. take care.
