Call a clinic: Because it's such a community concern, many cities have clinics that offer free or low $ screenings for this and other conditions too. If you have elevated blood sugar and are given Rx, you'll learn how to test for adequate dose, etc. but diagnosing is NOT a D.I.Y. task. Those initial tests are for pros. Ask at a hospital, pharmacy, phone book, etc. Best!

Diabetes: Not really. But you can go to a blood draw center and request a A1c be checked. If it's higher than 6.5 you then have diabetes and need to be followed closely by a health provider and be treated.
