A member asked:

Can a large bone spur at t10-11 at the rib and transverse processes be surgically removed??

Is it really needed?: Surgical excision of a bone spur is surgically possible. But if the spur is not causing symptoms or interfering with daily activities, and there is no immediate risk of nerve injury, then there is no need to perform this procedure. Hope that helps.

Sure- but..: ...is it necessary? Anything can be removed by surgery, but surgery should be done when there is a high chance it will help. Imagine if this was removed and there was no improvement? That would not help. What is the symptom that the bone spur is causing, in your view?
