No: I'm not sure what kind of doctor told u this but as an orthopedic surgeon I have never treated a" narrow rib cage". Cervical ribs that may be causing thoracic outlet syndrome at the 'top'of the rib cage is a possibility if u are having pain, parasthsesias down an arm, etc. A thoracic surgeon may see this though i've never heard of it.
