Anyways,the throat area is in the neck & neck x-rays can show parts of it.But if you have any problematic symptoms like a hoarse voice or problems swallowing or any unusual pain or lumps then,after 4 years you need a re-evaluation.Yes chest problems can cause neck symptoms but that's another story

Above shoulders: is neck, below shoulders is thorax. The positioning is not so perfect that they don't get a bit of a view of the other when they are doing an x-ray of one. Mainly, though, neck moves; thorax doesn't. Therefore most of the trauma effects are seen on the neck and not the thorax, cannot say in your particular situation, however
