Yes: Thrush is a yeast infection and like vaginal yeast it causes irritation and rawness. This makes your tongue more sensitive. It should get better soon.

Glossitis: You have a fungal tongue infection. Call your oral surgeon and ask for an antifungal solution which you can use as both a mouth rinse and then swallow plus an antifungal tablet.

Thrush: Burning tongue is common with thrush and the medication you are taking will treat thrush. The best thing for you to do is to let your oral surgeon know all of your symptoms and concerns. You will get the most appropriate treatment from someone who,has seen you and diagnose the problem.

It is common SE: You can experience a tingling or burning sensation along your tongue or the insides of your cheeks while on clotrimazole. These side effects occur if you swallow the clotrimazole troche before it completely dissolves. Take care.

Yes: The pain is not from medication. Instead it is because of your medical condition. You can apply some Oragel or topical anesthetics to soothe the pain.

Tell your doctor: burning sensation is not a Normal side effect. You need to tell your doctor so he can perhaps prescribe another medication for you
