A member asked:

I developed burning mouth syndrome after tooth extraction/bone graft. it's been 4 months.will it ever go away?what could be cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe a coincidence?: This is not a very common reaction to extraction and bone graft. Usually when someone experiences this it is due to either vitamin deficiency or an atypical reaction to something that there oral tissues was exposed to. You may want to go back to your dentist/surgeon to see if this can be further evaluated by a specialist in oral medicine.
