My ent dr. prescribed me clotrimazole troche 10mg 5x a day for 7 days because of oral thrush caused by antibiotics(amoxicilin), i read that 14 days of treatment is the usual. did my dr make a mistake or is 7 days of this treatment acceptable for this?

Thrush: Complete the 7 day course and see if Thrush resolves. If so, you’re done. If not, have your doctor call in another 7 days. The Thrush is a result of killing the normal mouth flora (good bacteria) by taking antibiotics and allowing the yeast to overgrown.
