Do a detailed workup: You have to do a workup for syncope "from scratch". The history gives you everything from hypoglycemia to postural hypotension to adverse drug effects. But, syncope may also reflect primary CNS and neuromuscular disorders. Start with a detailed history and physical. It may help to have an online source like Up-to-Date handy.
