So am I: Not sure why you would be given Macrobid, there may have been a misunderstanding. Please call your doctor in the morning and make sure that was the medication he intended to give you.

You should be!: Macrobid is a great medicine for UTI's but will not help bronchitis at all. Contact your doctor. Unfortunately, a large body of research proves that antibiotics are no more effective for bronchitis than placebos: http://jama.jamanetwork.com/article.aspx?articleid=1872806 I recommend the herb Pelargonium sidoides (sold as Umcka) which IS proven to help bronchitis.
