It's probably the medication: More commonly people described a more yellow to brown -looking coloration from the nitrofurantoin. This may change a little depending on the urine concentration and the lighting. I would continue drinking a lot of fluid to flush your system and see if it all goes away

Possibly: Nitrofurantoin can cause the urine color to turn dark yellow or brown and the UTI can cause urine color to be lime green. The color of the urine can also be affected by what you eat and the lime green color can also come from bile. This should clear up as the infection improves and yo stop the medication but see your doctor if it persists.

Known side effect: Macrobid (nitrofurantion) can cause urine color changes such as green or brownish. Don't worry about it.

NitroFurantoin: Hi, yes that could be the side effect of the medication. Feel better soon.
