Scorpion sting: If she begins having symptoms anywhere besides the location of the wound she should go to the emergency department. Most likely she will be fine, but the dangerous symptoms to watch for are numbness, weakness, blurred vision, difficulty speaking, or change in alertness. Symptoms are generally at their maximum 5 hours after envenomation, but can last a few weeks.

ER not likely needed: If she is otherwise healthy, no specific treatment is indicated unless she develops severe/alarming symptoms. Cold compress and elevation is all that should be needed. Hope she feels better soon.
