Doc just put me on celebrex (celecoxib). been taking hi-dose aleve daily for chronic back pain for 3 years. is celebrex (celecoxib) safer for my gi than the aleve?

Likely so: Celebrex (celecoxib) is the only cox-2 inhibitor left on market, as others had risks of heart problems and Celebrex (celecoxib) does not. Because of mechanism should not cause stomach problems, such as gastritis or ulcers. Should be far safer over the long run, than standard nsaid's.
