It may: While 15 % plasma cells in bone marrow is suspicoipus, doctors (hematologists) usestrict criteria for diagnosing diseases conditions affecting bone marrow like myeloma, for which the, patient also needs to have anemia, bony lesions on Xray, presence of special proteins in blood and invovement of organ damage like kidney etc
