Why would my md prescribe tegretol if i had a normal eeg. i have sleep troubles?

?restless leg: Although tegretol is used to treat seizures it is also used for other conditions such as bipolaar disorder and restless leg syndrome. If you are having sleep disturbances then I suspect that your doctor prescribed it to treat restless leg and help with your sleep. Restless leg occurs at night and can interfere with sleep.
