Not: Sure MRI would be best test. Talk to your doctor about symptoms. And set up the best tests. ? Endoscopy or GI work up would be best

Inspection time: Time to get that throat looked at. Certainly reflux can cause a lot of symptoms, but so can infections and several other things. Get the throat looked at before spending a lot of money for a MRI - which cannot see such infections anyway. Try to note if anything makes it feel better or worse.

Sorethroat: Sore throat could be from infection, inflammations, ulcers, growth. Have the throat examined by a physician and get the appropriate treatment based on the physical and laboratory findings. No need to jump on the MRI

ENT or GI time: I would see an ENT Dr. if it is your throat and or GI specialist if it is your reflux causing acid issues affecting your throat, etc. Best wishes.

Persistent: A sore throat persisting for three weeks is best evaluated by an otolaryngologist(ear, nose and throat specialist). He/she will order the appropriate tests like cultures, imaging, biopsies, etc.
