A member asked:

Is sleeping more deeply an indication that an infection might have resolved since i wasn't sleeping as well when i knew i still had the infection?

Yes: Certainly when coupled with other signs the infection is gone. That would be resolving fever, body aches, and any other symptoms you were having (depends on the type of infection you had)

Varies: with individuals and infections. Shaking chills can disturb sleep. In general, the inflammatory hormones in infections that cause fever also make one tired. Many tired people sleep more. OFten messes with sleep pattern Without an actual examination, I cannot give specific medical advice on your particular health,

Probably but: Sounds like a good bet, but not if you have African sleeping sickness! If you are feeling better and sleeping better, you probably are better. But I don't know what kind of infection you had, so the best answer would be the one your doctor, who knows you and your infection best, gives you. Give the office a call tomorrow and follow-up as scheduled or if you still have concerns.
