I lifted a heavy log and when i stepped forward my calf popped. i have no swelling but the pain runs the entire length of the back of my leg.

Pop: Sounds like you may have torn a muscle or tendon. If there is bruising or swelling, you should start icing it. If the pain persist for a day or two, see your physician.

See MD: I recommend you see an MD to rule out ruptured tendons, muscles. In the meantime, stay off the leg to avoid further injury.
