Correct dosing: Delaying pain medications can cause anxiety attacks. Taking your medication as close to what the prescription says can help reduce anxiety attacks. Please see your provider if the anxiety attacks persist or worsen.

Please explain: It's not clear what you mean by delay. Do you use the medicine at all? It is a medicine used for severe pain. This medicine does not help anxiety. If anxiety is a problem for you, some other treatment may be better for you. It does not necessarily have to be a medication either. Hope that helps!

Withdrawal: If you use MS Contin (morphine) frequently (eg several times each day) can suffer from "withdrawal" from the medication, which causes feelings of anxiety. This can be similar to heroin withdrawal and is very unpleasant. If you are having this sort of reaction I would discuss it with the prescribing doctor, since you may be developing dependence on the medication. Consider alternatives. Stay well!
