Normal dose: Adults—10 to 20 mg every 4-6 hours as needed. Your doctor may adjust your dose even higher, if needed.

Wronf question: That's not a meaningful question. Opiod are dosed to maximize ratio of benefit to side effects. The dose requirements range enormously. While 80 mg morphine per day is higher than most patients need, I've had patients who required over a 1000 mg per day of morphine. This is discussed in my book Power Over Pain, used copies available cheaply via eBay.
