A member asked:

Why does one finger on each hand get really hot while the other fingers are really cold? the finger that heats up isn't always the same one either

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Too hot or too cold?: Your symptoms beg the question: Which is abnormal, the cold or hot fingers? My guess, it is the cold ones that are abnormal causing the the others to seem warm. Do you smoke? If so, your symptoms may represent Thromboangiitis Obliterans (Buerger's disease). This could represent a condition known as Raynaud's phenomenon which can accompany connective tissue disorders or autoimmune conditions.
