EMG to check nerves: An EMG/NCS was done to assess the function of your nerves and muscles in your arms. Neurologists (and Physiatrists) are doctors who perform these tests and are best at interpreting. Depending on the results they will recommend appropriate treatment.

EMG: It depends what the reasons is for your upper extremity problems. A neurologist can help evaluate any problems originating with your nerves anywhere from your neck down your arms. Neurologists interpret EMGs best.
