I sliced open my thumb a few weeks ago. it was pretty deep about half an inch wide and on my right hand thumbs middle joint. still hurts though?

Thumb function?: Hi. Can you move the thumb normally? A deep cut at the joint could have damaged flexor or extensor tendons or nerves. Is there any sign the wound is infected? It may just be residual pain from a bad wound aggravated by movement, but it could be other things. A hand surgeon would be able to assess it best in person. Good luck!
