Common: It is very common for thick mucous to cause an upset or nauseated stomach especially in people suffering from allergies or cold-like symptoms. Have you tried Mucinex (guaifenesin) to thin out the mucous or some antihistamine medication like Zyrtec to help slow the production of the mucous? Both of these are over the counter and work well for most people. IF they do not help you after a while seek medical help.
