Lower carbs: Get rid if all sugars, and simple carbohydrates like white bread, pasta, white rice, and potatoes. Minimize eating processed and packaged foods as well as eating out, especially at fast food places. Start walking or running at least a mile every single day. Plan out your meals and exercises ahead of time and check them off as done, writing in any extra foods eaten. See doctor if help needed.

Portion control: Many people tend to eat far too much! A serving of meat should be smaller than the palm of your hand. A serving of pasta, about the size of your fist. Load up on steamed or raw vegetables, and get daily exercise to rev up your metabolism. Eat more frequent, smaller meals daily (4-5 very small meals instead of 2-3 large ones). Choose GOOD fats in small amounts (olive oil, nuts, avocado).

Gluten: While there is no "easy" way to lose weight. Taking Gluten out of your diet can make a significant difference in your weight loss plan. Most people are actually sensitive to it and do not realize it. This includes wheats, grains, brans. There are many Gluten Free alternatives. Try it!

Eat healthy, eat less: To lose a pound a week, eat 500 calories less a day than you regularly eat. This can be accomplished by increasing your consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables to 5-7 servings a day. Have at least two servings of fruits and vegetables at each meals, and vegetables generally have less calories than fruit.

Reduce weight: This is a repeat of what I have said before. My philosophy is that the best way to lose weight is not by dieting, but by changing your lifestyle to a healthier one. You don't need a drastic diet. Make small changes. Eat the right portions, eat 3-5 small meals a day, cut back on carbs and sugars, increase lean protein/veggie/fruit/water intake, and start doing some cardiovascular exercise.

Oh My Gosh!: Is that twiggy? Most of us don't lose weight easily. If we did - hardly anyone would have problems with being overweight. Eat healthfully ; be physically active. Aim for 7.5 to 8 hrs of sleep / night. Hydrate w at least 64 oz of water / day. Calories burned must > calories consumed. Do both cardio ; weight training. One in a while hormonal problems can cause weight problems.
