Uti: Yes. She needs pat least 5-7 days of antibiotic. She may have a kidney infection too. Yeast can occur in vulva easily when a diabetic takes an antibiotic. She needs urine check and a visual check of private parts.

Yes, curable.: Did she have the typical burning, urgency and urinary frequency in the beginning? Was a urine culture performed to determine if she was on the correct antibiotic. She needs to have a repeat urine specimen to see if infection has cleared. The pains you describe may have another cause. Aching in hips and pelvis are common in UTI, but specific joint pains might be from something else.
