Brush your tongue: Probably not. If you do not brush your tongue everytime you brush your teeth, the surface of the tongue builds up with plaque , bacterial and it looks white. This is also called a coated tongue. It will take probably two weeks of daily or twice daily brushing of your tongue to get it looking nice and pink. If you have any lingering doubts, see a dentist to have it evaluated.

Brush tongue: Do you clean your tongue every day? A white build up on your tongue can happen from food and bacterial debris that normally build up on a tongue. Use a tongue scraper or a toothbrush to gently clean your tongue when you brush your teeth.

Tongue coatings: Can result from many causes. See a dentist who can visualize what you describe and answer your questions accurately. Your UTI has no relationship to what you describe on your tongue.
