See the dentist: Yes of course this could just be stains but it could be the results of dental caries as well, so you need to see your dentist to make sure you don't have any cavities. If you have no cavities a regular cleaning should do the job. Don't delay.

Calculus: This is probably calculus (tartar) , a mineralized hard deposit which forms on the teeth where they have not been effectively and regularly cleaned. A professional exam and cleaning should get you back in shape if this is the case. Most common area of buildup is behind the lower front teeth. Make the appt.,and feel better. Good Luck.
