Hyperreactive airway: Once the alveoli, the little air sacs in your lungs develop muscle tissue in them, they are always able to contract causing a spasm. This is called hyper reactive airway disease. It never goes away. When your lungs are stressed for example with exercise it can definitely come back. Seek your PCP or a pulmonologist, there are several effective drugs to manage this.
