Plantar fasciitis & metatarsalgia. extreme pain even after all types of tx, inserts, etc. 3rd podiatry opinion no help! mri, nerve test normal.

2nd opinion: Get a second podiatric opinion, this is there job assuming this is what is going on. If they insinuated that you don't have this, I would see a Neurologist to make sure you don't have a neuropathy.

See a Neurologist: I would also suggest seeing a Neurologist to rule out Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy.

Pain consult: See a pain management specialist to rule out chronic regional pain syndrome. Other option is a rheumatology work up for a connective tissue disorder.

Plantar Fascitis: Sometimes plantar fascitis is hard to treat and can take upto two years to heal. Daily rolling your foot on a tennis ball as hard as you can, long term use of night splints at night helps keep the foot stretched all night , paying attention to keeping foot stretched while sitting , daily icing with frozen water bottle will cure it. Foot adjustments by good chiropractor also helps , Good luck.
