Get tested: "Adult" ADHD usually begins in childhood but then persists into adulthood. If you didn't have it as a child that puts the Dx in question. If you're really concerned there are standardized tests usu. administered by psychiatrists or neuropsychologists that can assess you. If no, then it's just life & if yes, it's treatable. Either way, knowing might put your mind at ease.

Have an evaluation: ADD starts in childhood, so if this is new, it's not ADD. However, if you look back at your school experience and notice you got LOTS of feedback about lack of attention to detail, incomplete work, etc. then maybe it's worth consulting a doctor to do a formal evaluation- psychologists also do these evaluations. Good luck- modern life makes all of us feel like we have ADD!

Get tested!: To really determine if you have adult ADD I would recommend formal testing. This can be done at many psychology clinics or doctor's offices that specialize in ADD. Online tests/self tests can be of some benefit, but in order to really know, you should see a professional.
