It's complicated: Many experts advise you drink half your weight in pounds in ounces- so if you weigh 140# drink 70 oz. of fluids (mostly as water) each day- but this varies with how hot it is, activity level and diet. If you are urinating every 3-4 hours you are probably drinking enough. Eating the right things is more complex as there is no one best diet for everyone & experts disagree. See my comment for more:
