A member asked:

I have a single red bump on vagina lip. it had a white tip so i popped it and white stuff came out. is it herpes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: a single red bump with a white tip is generally a localized bacterial infection. Use heat ( a hot water bottle or something about 104 to 106 degrees F) and if it gets better, you should be fine. Herpes is called that because the sores look like little grapes in a bunch, generally not with a white tip.
