Get it checked: The ulnar nerve is the major nerve that controls most of the muscles in our hands. It can be injured at the elbow or at the wrist. Pain from ulnar nerve injury can be treated with physical therapy, bracing or medications. If you are developing muscle weakness and clawing of the fingers then a more aggressive approach and doctor evaluation is necessary as it can be a sign if a serious problem.

NCS: Consult your physician for evaluation and nerve conduction studies as well as a metabolic workup and a check for diabetes. Occasionally certain Rx mediciation can help with this issue; however you must be examined and evlauated.
