Signs and symptoms..: Signs and symptoms of COPD include cough with possible sputum production, shortness of breath, decreased appetite, decreased activity level, weight loss or weight gain (especially if edema is present), decreased blood oxygen level, decreased or increased sleep, wheezing, etc. COPD is diagnosed by seeing chronic obstruction on pulmonary function testing. It can be diagnosed without any symptoms.
