Neck surgery: decompression surgery relieves the pressure on your spinal cord and nerves. Lidoderm patch has these side effects: skin irritation, redness, swelling, numbness where the patch is applied. there are also more serious side effects altough these are less commn.

Neck Decompression: You probably have herniated discs that are causing impingement of your nerves what they are planning to do is remove the disc that is causing the impingement. Lidoderm patches side effects are minimal unless you are allergic to the Lidocaine or to the adhesive beware you can not used them for more than 12 hours. Clean the area rest for 1 hour and then you can reapply another patch
