A member asked:

How bad is the recovery from turbinectomy? is it as painful as septoplasty (involves bleeding, pain etc.)?

Not bad at all : My patients do great and really like the procedure. I offer a version of it that is done in the office or it can be done under general anesthesia. It can be quite effective. Generally there is some mild oozing after and regular Tylenol (acetaminophen) is enough to cover the pain.

Turbinoplasty: pain is a variable experience. Most patients report little discomfort after turbinoplasty.
