a rope snapped, hit hard on lower leg, left a knot. after a week the knot has only gotten bigger and it hurts. should i be worried about a blood clot?

Get it evaluated: Sounds like a good idea to have someone evaluate the area. You can get blood to pool in an area of local trauma called a hematoma but blood clots can also form within the veins which are the more concerning type.
