Parasite stool check: Depending upon doctor's suspicion, based on your exposure risks & symptoms, your stool culture may look for salmonella, shigella, campylobacter, yersinia, & sometimes pathogenic e.Coli, additionally, stool can be checked for std, clostridium difficile, giardia, parasites, opportunistic pathogens. Parasites also found colonoscopically & by "scotch-tape test" of peri-anal area looking for shed eggs.
