Is it possible to have parasites in your gut and still have a negative result on a stool test?

No perfect test...: There is definitely no perfect test yet invented. Tests can fail to reveal the correct diagnosis for different reasons so a diagnosis could be potentially missed. However the possibilities are low when the tests has been done properly.In this case the possibilities of making the correct diagnosis are better when three stool samples are collected and the test is specific for parasites.

Hello. 27/m. I just had my stool results = pus cells 0-2/hpf. RBC 8-10/hpf. Ova/Cysts/Parasites/Others not seen. Occult Blood negative. Does RBC suggest Im bleeding? (I had broccoli+ salmon before test, + urinated in stool) Should I be worried?
