A member asked:

If cervical canal length at 11weeks of gestation is 20mm and internal os dilatation is 8mm, measured by abdom.us, does this require cervical cerclage?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need transvag u/s: Possibly. You should have a transvaginal ultrasound and see an MFM (high risk pregnancy dr.) if you haven't done so. You may benefit from a cerclage. Cerclage is most beneficial if done by the end of the first trimester. I see this is your only pregnancy. Best of luck and keep us posted.
