Pancreatic duct: Pancreatic ducts are and bile ducts can swell with inflammation and can reduce on healing multiple times. Whatever brought on the pancreatitis before can recur. Gall stones can also move out of the gall bladder and block the ducts causing dilatation. I would consult a gastroenterologist to help you determine the cause of the pancreatitis and possible treatments. This also could be an infection

Chronic pancreatitis: Unfortunately chronic pancreatitis can be managed but not cured. The duct may or may not enlarge again. It is important to be aware that slight dilatation (≥ 2.5 mm) of the main pancreatic duct appears to be a sign of high risk for pancreatic cancer. The systematic examination of high-risk patients is recommended for the early detection of pancreatic cancer to improve the outcome
