Also concurrently you may apply a topical antibiotic like erythromycin ointment 3x/day for 2 weeks. If these measures don't help it drain then it is time for optho consult

Eye treatment: Warm compresses, wash cloth as hot as you can stand it over area until cools three times a day, wash lashes and lids with 1/2 water and 1/2 baby no tears shampoo 2-3 times a day and can apply bacitracin or polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) if it won't get into your eye. Otherwise, can get a prescription from doctor for antibiotic ointment safe for your eye.

Sty: Typical treatment for a sty consists of applying very warm compresses to the affected eye for 10 to 15 minutes twice to four times daily for several days. This not only relieves pain and inflammation, but also helps the stye resolve faster. If it does not get better within a few days, or if the area appears to be infected, a visit to the eye doctor is in order for possible surgical removal.
